PLANT FOR THE PREPARATION OF SYRUPS
Left: A Sugar B Sugar feeding C Washing D Feeding of the dose water E Industrial water F Steam G condensate H utilisation
This plant produces saccharose syrup useful for the production of sweets and similar products, sugary and alcoholic drinks, stuffing for praline, candying and fruit treatment, etc.

The preparator does not have an internal agitator, but the turbulent flow which is necessary for melting the sugar and forming the solution is carried out by the recycling, by means of a centrifugal pump.

The heating action, which is necessary for concentrated syrups, is obtained by passing in a tube-system exchanger.

Sugary solutions which are not particularly concentrated can be cold prepared, that is to say without using a heating means.

The water contained in the dose is batched by an accumulating litre-counter, while sugar is fed by a double-speed conveyor or driven by an inverter.

Storing tanks, which are placed on load cells, weigh in detraction the quantity to be fed. The concentration is controlled by a continuous in-line refractometer.

The plant may work either in batch or in a non-stop modality: products are transferred to the utilization unit only when they reach the required characteristics.

In discontinuous working, inside the tank it can happen to have a cooling and maintenance stage at controlled temperature.

Using a PLC allows to accumulate different production runs and to memorize a certain number of preset recipes which are recalled each time by the operator. In the preparator the temperature of dissolution and maintenance is controlled and kept at the desired level by a regulating system with a temperature bore, automatic modulating valves and on-off valves on the industrial water circuit.

The plant is completely washed by an in-line CIP.

Different plant sizes are available according to its efficiency.

The system used to store the sugar is chosen on the basis of specific productive and supply needs.
