The plant allows to filter products for food industry, expecially drinks, herb extracts, tea, coffee and similar. Filtration is made in two stages, using filters with different capacities. The double series of filters allows an alternate working, and guarantees a continous plant working. The obstraction is taken under control using two pressure transducers placed upstream and downsteam of the filtering unit: when the setted limit value is reached, the filtering is turned to the second battery and the first battery is cleaned. This operation is totally automatic, and the two filters are left into a stand-by mode waiting for the next functioning phase. The concentration, as fixed residuum, is constantly controlled through an on-line refractometer, and possible changes are corrected by a controlled batching of demineralized water. The capacity is controlled by a mass meter, a Coriolis effect one. The obtained product can be assigned to the storage and then used, or it can be assigned to the wast disposal if the production specifications aren’t reached. Using a twin seat valve allows a separate line washing, avoiding all the product contamination dangers coming from the washing solutions. The on-line CIP feeds the conduits and the filtering units separately. The PLC helps the user managing production cycles and washing procedure setting up, according to the treated products. Plant sizing is defined according to the required capacity. On customer demand, it is possible to study the feed and storage managing of the filtered product.
